The Celtic Boys Club 6 v Rossvale Milan 3

What a game of football from two great teams intent on playing football the way it should be played right from the start it was end to end stuff with both teams intent to take the game to each other with some very good attacking moves coming from both sides but it was Rossvale who took the lead due to a bad mistake from the Bhoy's to let the striker get free and score a very good goal.Right from the kick off the wee Celts took the game to their opponents and laid siege to their goal and got their reward when after some good inter passing movement the ball broke to Thomas Nesbit on the edge of the box and he sent an unstoppable shot into the top corner of the goal. The young hoops kept up the assault on the Rossvale goal with some fine passing football and it wasn't long before they went ahead from a great piece of passing between Cameron Dean and wee Scott Martin wide on the right and the wee man played an inch perfect pass into the pass of the on rushing Thomas again and he promptly put the ball into the back of the net.But again Rossvale came back and scored another fine goal through their striker and it was game on again. Two two at half time was true reflection of the play.

In the second half the Bhoy's took the bull by the horns and stepped up the pressure and relentlessly put the Rossvale defense under intense pressure and got their just reward when Jamie Linton sent a Cracker of a free kick screaming towards goal only for the keeper to parry the the ball into the air but Jamies shot seemed to push him back and he parried the ball again but Birthday Bhoy Darryl Ballantyne was first to react and nodded the ball into the back of the net. From the kick off Rossvale put the hoops under some sustained pressure but marshalled by Jamie with help from Ross Greening and Craig Gowran the bhoy's held out and eventually scored another after good play from Cameron in the midfield when he chased a lost cause and the ball broke into the area, and with the ball heading towards goal it seemed that the central defenders would clear the ball but they hadn't reckoned with Darryl who broke through between them to score. Was again it was end to end stuff with some great football from both sets of players and it was Rossvale who scored next after a quite miraculous save from Kyle Cooper the ball unfortunatelly fell to a Rossvale player and he stuck it away.Once again the wee Celts went straight onto the offensive with some fine individual wing play from wee Scott and he was unlucky to see his shot just scrape the crossbar. But it wasn't long before the hoops went further ahead when a good ball out of defencs from Ross found Scott who lai d the ball through for Thomas to run onto and put the ball into the back of the net.The match continued to go from end to end but once again it was the hoops who scored again when Craig Sent the ball forward to Paul McLaughlin who beat two men and played the ball into Cameron who promptly put the ball into the path of Darryl with a first time pass found wee Scott who beat his man and pushed the ball to Thomas and he sent an unstoppable volley from the corner of the box. That was the end of the scoring but only thanks to some wonderfull goalkeeping from Kyle Cooper who was out standing and along with his defence managed to keep out a very good Rossvale team.Every player played his part in a fine advertisement for boy's club football.
