The Celtic B.C 3 Harmony Row B.C 2

This match against a very good side was a measure of how far the Bhoy's have come in their first competetive 11 a side game. The opening 10 minutes were a very even affair but with a slight breeze behind them the Bhoy's wore Harmony Row down, when Darryl Ballantyne latch onto a superb through ball from wee Scott Martin and beat the keeper with an unstoppable shot from about 12 yards out . The Bhoy's kept up the tempo taking the match to the opponents with some very slick passing movement both on the ball and off it and it wasn't long before another goal came along and it was wee Scott who took the ball from new Bhoy Cameron Dean from a short corner , he beat 2 defenders on the corner of the penalty box and sent a brilliant lob over the keeper and into the far corner. After the restart it was more of the same constant pressure on the Harmony goal and the only surprise was that we only scored 1 more goal and once again it was the wee man Scott who applied the finish to a fine flowing move form defence right to the other end, when Jamie Linton sent a great cross into the far post where the wee man met with an exceptional volley on his right foot BRILLIANT. Towards the end of the half for reasons Known only to himself the Referee awarded a penalty kick to Harmony when the ball took a freak bounce and struck Cameron on the arm when there was not one attacker anywhere near him.

In the second half the wind got stronger and Harmony really came at us but the Bhoy's were holding their own and soaked up attack after attack and kept breaking out and giving the Harmony defence a lot of trouble onthe break in fact it was on a breakaway that they scored their second goal.Another new Bhoy was introduced to the game ,Lee Gallagher who twice just missed the goal with one shot hitting the post and the other just drifting wide from a great lob.The Bhoy's came away from this match with a great win against a very good Harmony Row side.
