Celtic boys under 15s v Leith Athletic

Good first half which saw a few chances going in Celtics favour with the first In 5 mins which fell to Christopher Byrne with a low shot that went just past the left hand post Next came in 20 mins when Jamie Jackson was clean through on goal were the ball took a bad bounce And went just passed the post then a freekick by Ryan Stewart which hit the crossbar Leith only had one header That was saved by Rhys Murray. Then came the breakthrough just before half time with the smallest man on the park Andrew Mckibbens rising like a salmon to header the first goal Celtic at half time 1 up.

2ND half

Celtic were pushing for the second and had Leith on the back foot when Declan Campbell crossed for Kane to make it 2-0 Most of the second half was played in the midfield with both teams Battling hard Leith looked down and out but then Leith broke down the right hand side with a nice through ball when Ryan Stewart bringing down the striker Which looked outside the box but the referee pointed to the spot for the penalty which was scored to make it 2-1. With a nervous 10 mins left Celtic held on to a 2-1 win to progress to the next round with the man of the match going to Conor Adair.
